For this special project, we worked closely with Together For Cinema (a charity that brings together the AV industry to install cinemas for children’s hospice services around the UK). The Bluebells was identified as a centre that could benefit from a new Cinema Room, and we were more than happy to volunteer to install it.
The Bluebells was opened in 2011 and is located close to Basingstoke in Hampshire. It is part of Sebastian’s Action Trust and the centre offers respite and short breaks for families with children who have been diagnosed with life limiting conditions.
We proposed a room restructure, complete with comprehensive lighting to be able to allow for a fully immersive cinematic experience, Hollywood style. The install included automated QMotion blinds, an in-ceiling projector screen, a Sony 65” UHD flat screen, Phillips Hue Lighting, an Epson Projector and of course many other pieces of equipment to allow everything to work smoothly.
On Monday 11th December 2017 there was an opening reception at The Bluebells, to unveil the Cinema Room. Together For Cinema are aiming to complete 25 rooms by 2020 and we are delighted to contribute towards this, with install making number 18.
We would like to extend huge thanks to all of our suppliers, manufacturers, clients and employees for their enthusiasm, donations, time and effort allowing this whole installation to be possible. .
